Mud meals and meal to go
Love them but haven’t used them for backpacking yet. I use the mud meal at 1/2 quantity for breakfast and find it really keeps me going so I know at the correct amount it would sustain me when hiking. I always keep a meal to go in the car and if I miss lunch or get hungry when I am out I eat a small portion of it. I love the package as it keeps fresh.
On the AT, all the calories plus. I do 20oz for breakfast and cruz up the steep slopes. About lunch another 20oz and slide into camp with plenty of energy to set up for the night. Great stuff!!

The Mud Meal has been an awesome addition to my morning smoothies! It's filling, tastes great, and keeps me full for a long time. Highly recommend!
Exactly the extra boost we've been looking for
Lunch on the trail has always been my weak point. I want something that doesn't require cooking, doesn't weigh much and can be eaten on the go or during a short stop. That usually means something in a wrap or a bar of some sort. Problem is, that's just not enough calories to keep me going into the afternoon. Greenbelly's Mud Meal is a darn near perfect addition to my usual lunch on the trail. It's calorie dense, lightweight, takes up almost no space in my food bag, and mixes quickly with water. The best part is the nutrition profile: lots of protein and fat calories with very little sugar. I'd drink it even if it tasted blah, but it tastes remarkably good. In fact, the vanilla is delicious and so I'll be trying the strawberry next. Mud Meal is going to be a staple of my hiking nutrition from now on. Good job, Greenbelly.
